Composition, variability, temperature, solids, organics, ionic species, microbiology and incompatible constituents.
YWT engineers membrane systems for water treatment, wastewater recycling, ultrapure water, process purification, concentration and product recovery - from conventional duties to demanding acidic, alkaline and solvent-bearing streams.
Discuss Your ApplicationView ProjectsA membrane plant is a hydraulic, chemical and operating system - not simply a membrane element. YWT defines the complete process envelope before fixing membrane type, configuration and recovery.
Composition, variability, temperature, solids, organics, ionic species, microbiology and incompatible constituents.
Permeate quality, retained species, molecular selectivity, product value and downstream process requirements.
Stage recovery, concentration factor, osmotic pressure, reject management and water or product recovery targets.
Pretreatment, flux selection, crossflow, antiscalant strategy, biofouling risk and cleanability.
Membrane chemistry, seals, housings, piping and cleaning agents matched to pH, solvent and temperature exposure.
Energy, replacement frequency, CIP demand, automation, operator capability and total cost of ownership.
The treatment train may use one membrane step or several barriers in sequence. Final selection is based on testing, data and the intended duty.
Clarification and removal of suspended solids, fine particles and microorganisms.
Typical role: pretreatment, process clarification and microbial barrier.Robust removal of colloids, macromolecules and turbidity with consistent filtrate quality.
Typical role: RO pretreatment, recycle, depyrogenation and product clarification.Selective separation between dissolved species, including hardness, sulphate, colour and targeted molecules.
Typical role: softening, acid purification and selective process recovery.High-rejection desalination for process water, wastewater recovery, concentration and high-purity systems.
Typical role: reuse, desalination, high recovery and double-pass polishing.Biological treatment combined with membrane solids separation for compact plants and reliable reuse quality.
Typical role: industrial wastewater and sewage treatment with a small footprint.Membranes selected for acidic, alkaline, solvent-bearing, high-temperature or product-sensitive duties.
Subject to feed-specific compatibility, piloting and performance validation.YWT's membrane business includes chemically resistant and product-sensitive separations. These systems are developed around the valuable product, the impurity to be removed and the allowable operating and cleaning envelope.
Selective purification, concentration and recovery from acidic process streams where conventional membrane materials may not remain stable.
Applications: acid recovery, impurity removal, metal and mineral process streams.Membrane separation for high-pH streams, caustic recovery and concentration duties requiring alkaline chemical resistance.
Applications: caustic purification, alkaline wash recovery and process reuse.Organic-solvent nanofiltration and related separations for solvent recovery, product concentration and removal of lower-molecular-weight impurities.
Applications: solvent recycle, API and fine-chemical concentration, product purification.Product-sensitive MF, UF, NF or RO systems for clarification, fractionation, concentration, colour management and water removal.
Applications: dairy, beverages, natural products, dyestuffs and specialty chemicals.Dr. Shivenrao holds a doctorate in membranes. His specialist knowledge in membrane science, filtration and separation supports YWT's work across water purification, ultrapure water, chemically resistant membranes, product concentration and recovery.
Depending on the technology, fabrication route, customer requirement and commercial scope, a membrane project may be supplied through YWT India, Meliorate Engineers or Everest Engineering. The proposal and purchase order will identify the contracting entity, scope boundaries and performance responsibility for each project.
Feed conditioning, cartridge filtration, dosing, pumps, membrane housings, energy management, CIP, flushing, instrumentation, controls and reject handling.
Laboratory screening, membrane coupons, pilot trials and staged performance confirmation where the feed is variable, valuable or chemically aggressive.
For semiconductor, solar, electronics and pharmaceutical facilities, membranes are integrated with pretreatment, ion exchange or EDI, degassing, final polishing, storage and distribution. The design must protect every downstream barrier and maintain water quality at the point of use.
Representative YWT membrane systems. Customer and site identities are intentionally omitted.
YWT supports membrane systems through start-up, normalisation, monitoring, cleaning, troubleshooting, replacement planning and operating optimisation.
Share the feed analysis, flow, operating pattern, required permeate or product quality, recovery objective and available utilities. YWT will develop the appropriate membrane pathway and validation plan.
