Programme Coverage

Chemistry matched to the pollutant and separation mechanism

Wastewater is not a single application. The correct programme depends on the stream composition, upstream process, pollutant form, treatment equipment and final discharge or recycle requirement.

01 / SOLID–LIQUID SEPARATION

Coagulants & Flocculants

Coagulants, coagulant aids and anionic, cationic or non-ionic polymers selected to improve clarification, flotation and filtration.

02 / OIL & EMULSION CONTROL

Emulsion Breaking

Application-specific chemistry to release dispersed oil and improve removal through gravity separation, DAF or downstream clarification.

03 / DISSOLVED CONTAMINANTS

Metals & Precipitation

pH adjustment, precipitation and chelant-release approaches selected for the metal form, complexing agents and compliance target.

04 / APPEARANCE & NUISANCE

Colour, Odour & Foam

Targeted colour reduction, odour control and defoaming without transferring uncontrolled risk to biological or recycle stages.

05 / BIOLOGICAL PROCESS

Biological Support

Nutrient balance, pH control and augmentation considered only after identifying inhibition, loading and biomass-health conditions.

06 / RESIDUAL SOLIDS

Sludge Conditioning

Polymer selection and dose optimisation for thickening, filter press, centrifuge, screw press and other dewatering equipment.

Testing Before Selection
A successful chemical programme must improve the whole plant—not merely one beaker.
Stream StudySource, variability, pH, COD, TSS, oil and grease, metals, colour and inhibitory compounds.
Bench TestingCoagulation, flocculation, settling, flotation, sludge production and treated-water response.
Plant CompatibilityBiological impact, membrane compatibility, recycle requirement and downstream salt loading.
Trial & BaselineControlled plant trial with defined feed rate, sampling points and acceptance parameters.
OptimisationPerformance, chemical consumption, sludge volume, dewatering and total operating cost.
Performance Monitoring

Measure the outcome through the treatment train

Influent ConditionsFlow, pH, COD, TSS, oil, metals, colour and variability
SeparationFloc, settling or flotation, clarified-water quality and sludge blanket
Biological HealthDO, pH, MLSS, SVI, nutrient balance and oxygen uptake indicators
Sludge & CostPolymer dose, cake solids, filtrate quality, volume and handling cost
Programme Products

Sludge and separation polymers selected for the application

Y F 440SNF Polymer – Desludging

Polymer for sludge-conditioning applications. Selection and dosage must be validated against sludge characteristics and dewatering equipment.

FL 435SNF Polymer

Polymer used within an application-specific separation or sludge programme following laboratory screening and site validation.

Technical qualification: YWT is not restricted to one manufacturer. Products may be selected from SNF, Valient Biotech or other specialist manufacturers according to the wastewater characteristics, equipment, compatibility, availability and verified trial performance. Safety, storage and handling requirements are governed by the applicable manufacturer’s SDS.

Technology-Neutral Product Selection

The manufacturer follows the application—not the other way around

YWT India acts as the application and programme integrator. We work with SNF and other specialist manufacturers for application-specific polymers and treatment products, while Valient Biotech supports selected formulation, production, quality-control and R&D requirements.

YWT retains responsibility for process diagnosis, comparative evaluation, programme selection, dosing strategy, implementation support and performance review.

Multiple sources: SNF, Valient Biotech and specialist product manufacturers
Laboratory screening: comparative chemistry and dose response
Dosing arrangement: make-down, metering, injection and safety
Commissioning: baseline, control limits and operator training
Ongoing service: trends, deviations and corrective action
