Industrial Water Management

Turn every water flow into an opportunity.

YWT India’s independent water audits reveal where water is entering, being used, lost, treated and reused—then convert the findings into a practical, financially prioritised improvement roadmap.

Why audit water?

A defensible baseline for better decisions

Meter readings alone rarely explain where the water goes. We combine records, field measurements, operator knowledge and process review to reconcile the complete system.

Questions the audit answers

  • Where are the largest consumers?
  • Are meters correctly located?
  • Where are losses occurring?
  • Is water quality fit for purpose?
  • What can be reused safely?
  • Which projects pay back first?
  • How does performance benchmark?
  • What should be monitored next?
Audit scope

From source to discharge—and back into reuse

The scope is tailored to the site, production profile and business objective. A typical industrial audit covers the following blocks.

01

Data & demand

Historical consumption, production-normalised KPIs, tariff and source review, seasonal variation and demand forecasting.

02

Water balance

Source-to-user mapping, temporary measurements, meter validation and reconciliation of accounted and unaccounted water.

03

Process users

Production washing, rinsing, CIP, make-up, product contact and other process-specific water consumers.

04

Utilities

Cooling towers, boilers and steam, condensate, RO/DM systems, softeners, pumps and utility distribution.

05

Treatment systems

Raw-water treatment, ETP, STP, tertiary systems, MEE/MVRE and ZLD performance, capacity and operating practices.

06

Reuse & conservation

Segregation, cascading, recycling, blowdown recovery, condensate recovery and fit-for-purpose reuse options.

Why YWT India

Independent advice. Engineering depth. Practical outcomes.

Vendor-independent

Recommendations are driven by site needs and lifecycle value—not by a preferred equipment package.

Whole-system view

We connect process, utility, treatment and reuse decisions instead of assessing each system in isolation.

Implementation focused

Operational quick wins and capital projects are ranked for technical feasibility, impact and cost.

Frequently asked questions

Planning a water audit

What data is needed before the audit?

Monthly water and wastewater data, production data, utility logs, water-quality records, layouts, existing flow diagrams, treatment-system details and available meter readings are useful. Gaps in data do not prevent the audit; they help define the field-measurement plan.

Does the audit cover both water and wastewater?

Yes. The most useful water balance connects fresh-water sources, plant users, evaporation and product retention, wastewater collection, treatment, discharge and reuse.

Can the audit support expansion or ZLD planning?

Yes. A verified baseline helps forecast future demand and hydraulic load, identify segregation and reuse opportunities, and avoid oversizing treatment or ZLD assets.

Will recommendations include financial priorities?

Yes. Opportunities can be grouped as no/low-cost actions, operational improvements and capital projects, with indicative savings and cost–benefit logic based on data available during the study.
